IMATRA FIRST SNOW ski track opened on 14 October 2022

The first snow track in Imatra will open this autumn at the beginning of the autumn holiday season for schools in Southern Finland on 14 October. The first snow track is made from snow produced and stored in the previous winter. The track will be built on the roller ski tracks starting from Ukonniemi Stadium and on nearby terrain. 

For ski season 2022-2023 we have stored around 65 000 cubic meter! This year, the first snow ski track will be opened in different stages, which guarantees skiing safety and a sufficient amount of snow for the entire season. In the first stage, the track opens as about 1.5 km loop. In the second stage, the track will be extended to at least 2.8 km. Our service promise is to keep the track well-maintained in all weather conditions until the end of 2022. As soon as the overall weather situation allows, the trail will be extended to a full 5 km.
