Nature is the heart of Ukonrauha and one of its most attractive features.

Here you can move freely and enjoy the gentle sound of the waves, the peace of the shores and forests, and a wide variety of terrain routes all year round. Relax on a sandy beach on a summer day, wander along forest trails in autumn colors, or go skiing on Lake Saimaa under the winter and spring sun.

The Ukonrauha area features a diverse network of routes for jogging, cycling, and multi-purpose outdoor activities. Excellent options include the Lammassaari nature trail and the Malonsaari trail. In addition, there are several other routes accessible from locations such as the Ukonlinna beach parking area, Hossukan Helmi parking area, or near Rauha beach.

The area also serves as a venue for many sports and outdoor events, such as Finntriathlon Saimaa, Saimaa Run, and Saimaa MTB, where the routes are truly put to the test. Event dates and more detailed information can be found in the Events section as they are confirmed.

Please note: We will soon update additional information about the newly improved and clearly marked routes, ensuring that everyone can find a suitable option regardless of skill level or sense of adventure. More information about the project can be found on the City of Imatra’s website.

 

The Ukonrauha brand has been created as part of the Rauha–Ukonniemi “Towards an International Resort” development project. The Rauha–Ukonniemi development initiative has received funding from the Regional Council of South Karelia through the Sustainable Growth and Vitality of Regions (AKKE) program.
