Die Regionen Seenland Saimaa, Lappeenranta und Imatra liegen nur zwei Stunden von der finnischen Hauptstadt Helsinki entfernt. Von Helsinki aus erreichen Sie Lappeenranta bequem und schnell mit dem Zug, dem Bus oder dem Auto. Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel sind eine einfache und erschwingliche Art, in Finnland zu reisen.
Der Flughafen Lappeenranta wird von Ryanair direkt von Mailand Bergamo aus angeflogen. Die Finnlines-Fähren fahren täglich von Lübeck nach Helsinki.

Willkommen am Saimaa-See und in der Region Lappeenranta - Imatra, wo Sie die schönsten Landschaften im Herzen des Seenlands Saimaa entdecken können. Hier gibt es das ganze Jahr über viel zu erleben!
Finnlands Tourismus hat seine Wurzeln in Saimaa, und Finnlands älteste Touristenattraktion, Imatrankoski, zieht schon seit Hunderten von Jahren Touristen an. Die 1649 gegründete Festung Lappeenranta war einst das Zentrum des finnischen Teerhandels und ein lebhafter Marktplatz. Heute ist ein Urlaub im Seenland Saimaa eine Gelegenheit, sich zu entspannen und die schöne Landschaft zu genießen, ohne dabei die historischen Sehenswürdigkeiten und kulturellen Veranstaltungen zu vergessen.
Im Winter können Sie auf dem zugefrorenen See Eisfischen, Langlaufen oder Schlittschuh laufen.
In der Sommersaison können Sie bei einer Schifffahrt die schöne Aussicht auf den Saimaa-See bewundern oder an einer der vielen geführten Touren teilnehmen.
Die größten Naturwunder im Seenland Saimaa, Lappeenranta und Imatra sind die beiden parallel verlaufenden Höhenzüge Salpausselkä, welche die gesamte Provinz teilen. Aufgrund ihrer enormen Größe sind sie nur schwer in der Landschaft zu erkennen.
Die Region ist durch den Wasserweg des Saimaa-Kanals an Helsinki, die Ostsee und somit an den Rest der Welt angebunden - dennoch ist nur ein Fünftel der Oberfläche Südkareliens von Wasser bedeckt.
Die Freizeitbäder und die entspannenden und verwöhnenden Behandlungen in unseren Spas sorgen für einen Hauch von Luxus. Die Spa-Anlagen sind das ganze Jahr über geöffnet. Wählen Sie zwischen einem Wellness- oder Stadthotel mit hohem Standard, einer Villa oder einem Ferienhaus am See.

Did you know we have our own Kirsikkapuisto (Cherry Park) in Lappeenranta? 😉 Planted in 2020–2021, this beautiful park in the Lappeenranta Arboretum is home to around 400 cherry trees – most of them kindly donated by local residents. 🌳
And guess what? The cherry blossoms are just starting to bloom 🤗 🌸✨
