B&B Hiitolanjoki and nature healing powerhouse

B&B Hiitolanjoki and Nature Healing Powerhouse offers affordable but quality accommodation on the banks of the Hiitolanjoki River in Rautjärvi. We offer you accommodation in the peace and quiet of nature, just two kilometres from the 6 road. 

Our rooms are named after the rapids on the Finnish side of the Hiitola River.

Kangaskoski is a charming room for two persons overlooking the Hiitola River. The room has two twin beds, which can also be made into a double bed. Room size approx. 17m2. You can also see the river from the window of the Juvankoski. The room is for two persons with double bed or twin beds. Ritakoski is room for six persons with two bunk beds and a double bed, which can also be converted into twin beds. Ritakoski also has a view towards Kangaskoski lava. Lahnanen is a 30m2 room with a double bed and bunk beds for four persons and an armchair. The room has a view of the river. Rapukoski is a room of approx. 25m2 with a double bed, bunk beds and an armchair. The Rapukoski can accommodate five people.

Washing and toilet facilities are shared. In the lobby there are two fridges, a coffee machine, a kettle and a microwave. There is a children's gate in the staircase and a travel cot, high chair and potty for small travellers. Pets are welcome. There is a storage room and washing facilities for bicycles. For fishermen there are dryers for drying their equipment.

You'll wake up to the smell of fresh bread as we bake rolls for breakfast every morning. Local food is close to our hearts. Our breakfast eggs come from our own chicken farm, where the chickens are cared for with loving care: they are sung to and held in our arms. They even have Christmas lights. Berries are gathered from the local forests and Karelian pies are baked by a local home baker. The pies are topped with locally produced, served mangalitza, among other things. Our closest local food comes from syrup cooked from the cherries of the yard trees. We also offer gluten-free and vegan products.

Our cosy and comfortably furnished rooms can also be used for parties, meetings and training. Free WiFi is available for our guests.

There are a few electric poles in the courtyard for car parking.

There is a cosy log sauna by the river, where you can cool off in the river. The river flows freely all year round. For the ultimate in relaxation and cleansing, try our peat sauna.

The nature trails of the Hiitola River are three kilometres away. Between the Lahnanen rapids and Ritakoski there is a nature trail with signposts, a barbecue shelter and a bird tower. The Kangaskoski pavilion is only about 200m away along an easy path. We offer guided hiking or swimming tours to the nearby area. We also organise themed excursions in all seasons, e.g. horticultural excursions in spring and early summer, mushroom trips in autumn or snowshoe safaris in winter. On our retreats, you'll be empowered, empowered, or experience the peace of the soma bush!
