RUOKOLAHTI

Ruokolahti is situated only a 20-minute drive from Imatra. The Ruokolahti water system includes three canals, Kukonharju, Kutvele and Käyhkää, as the municipality of 5,000 inhabitants contains 500 lakes.

Kummakivi is a magnificent rock in the middle of nowhere – but it is a must to see. Kummakivi is a huge, approximately 7 metres long, boulder that is oddly balancing on a smaller, round rock.

Ruokolahti church hill is located on the shore of Lake Saimaa. The Ruokolahti Church is a wooden church completed in 1854, which accompanies a belltower completed in 1752.

Ruokolahti gladly hosts cyclists around the world. Ruokolahti offers hundreds of kilometres of tracks in the forests and the Saimaa archipelago cycling route includes Ruokolahti, which also holds the title for the biggest Pumptrack in Finland.

The Saimaa riviera, beach of Huuha (Huuhanranta) is located in Ruokolahti.
