20th International Theatre Festival of Black and White 26.7.-3.8.2024.

The Black and White Theatre Association has organised the largest professional theatre event in South-East Finland in Imatra since 2004. We have produced more than 20 plays and one film, both on our own and in cooperation with other theatres.

In 19 years, the Black and White Theatre Festival has established its place in Finland's cultural scene and events calendar. For the last three years, the festival has taken place in Imatra at the end of July.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary, we have planned a spectacular festival programme both indoors and outdoors. The eight-day festival will attract theatre professionals from all over the world. The festival programme in Imatra includes drama, dance theatre, physical theatre, circus, puppetry, spectacular street theatre, musicians and film. The centenary festival will showcase international theatre in all its forms.

The Black and White Theatre Festival is part of the European Region of Gastronomy 2024.
