Sammonlahti church
Church made of concrete, red bricks and grey granite
Sammonlahti Church was inaugurated in the year 1992. The church is also known as "To refreshing water", a citation from the psalm. An architect office "Riitta and Kari Ojala" from Lappeenranta has designed the church and the congregation building. The church is made of concrete, red bricks and grey granite from Ristijärvi. A simple Cross of Anrea functions as an altarpiece and the light comes to the church through the Cross. Shades of green and blue are dominant inside the church. Brita Flander has designed and made the altar work. The church serves travellers as a road church.
