Public saunas in the Lappeenranta and Imatra region.

Finns have been ranked the happiest people in the world on several occasions. It has been suggested that one of the reasons for this happiness is the sauna: in the sauna, the mind and body relax, stress and all the bad things in the world are wiped away.

In Lappeenranta and Imatra, on the shores of Lake Saimaa, you can pamper yourself not only in a traditional sauna, but also in an atmospheric smoke sauna or rent a floating sauna. Of course, you can also take a dip in the lake, be it summer or winter. There are saunas on demand in the area and, of course, you can also take a sauna in the Saimaa region's spas, where there is a wide variety of saunas and where the sauna baths are a distant memory of everyday life.

Vuoksen Kalastuspuisto sauna in Imatra, on the shores of the Vuoksi River.  On Wednesdays at 16.30 - 20.30 Women´s Sauna. Price 10 €/person. More information

Starting from Nov 13: Hossukan Helmi Women’s Sauna in Imatra – on Thursdays from 5 PM to 8 PM. Sauna fee: €13 per person. The price includes a towel, a soft drink, access to two different saunas, a warm jacuzzi, and the opportunity to take a dip in Lake Saimaa. Find out more

The lakeside sauna at Olkkolan Hovi in Savitaipale heats up on Wednesdays. Traditional sauna on Wednesday at 16-18 for women and at 18-19 for men. Price €5. 

Myllysaari sauna in Lappeenranta - Mondays and Thursdays sauna hours for men and Tuesdays and Fridays sauna hours for women. Also on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays there are mixed bathing hours. Price 10 €/person. More information about sauna hours

  • 6.12. at 2 pm - 5 pm Independence Day Celebration Sauna
  • 10.12. at 3 pm - 9 pm Pre-Christmas Sauna – you can bring a small gift (value approx. €5). There will be some Christmas snacks and mulled wine.
  • 17.12. at 3 pm - 9 pm Family Christmas Sauna & Dips – come enjoy the sauna and a refreshing swim while Christmas songs play.
  • 21.12. at 10-12 Quiet Advent Morning Sauna

Hotel Salpa in Luumäki - The sauna section is open to the public every day from 17-20 and on Sundays from 12-19. During the public hours you can take a sauna and swim in the 12,5 m pool with a great view or directly in the clear water of Lake Kivijärvi. In winter, there is an open area at the end of the pier for experienced swimmers. Price €5 per person. More information

Spa Day Spa Lähde in Lappeenranta - The atmospheric spa department with its secluded saunas pampers both body and mind. So slip into a soft bathrobe and enjoy a unique spa experience in the gentle pools and warm waters of the magnificent pools. The spa is open Sun-Sun 10-20, Fri-Sat 10-22.
